Aggrey beads (Blema Koli)

European or Middle Eastern origin. circa 900 AD.
There are a lot of imitations of these beads. Recognized by their small holes, they also have a dichroic semi-opaque bluish, greenish or yellowish colors when viewed in the light. Not particularly attractive, they are however worth their weight in gold. The loose beads on top show lapidary work done by the natives; they are considered Koli Abakle, lower hierarchy of the Aggrey.
